My art blends three passions: graphic design, painting, and calligraphy. I'm constantly exploring how these techniques can work together to create something uniquely expressive.

In each piece, I love balancing the flowing, unpredictable nature of watercolor with the precise beauty of calligraphic lines. There's this wonderful dance between volumes, contrasts, and harmony that brings my work to life. Nature inspires me endlessly, and I'm always chasing that perfect narrative within each painting.

What fascinates me most is how watercolor's fluidity helps abstract forms emerge naturally, while my calligraphic gestures weave letters into the composition—sometimes revealing meaning, sometimes concealing it. I want every piece to tell a personal story that becomes part of your space and your life.

As a Canadian artist, I explore where calligraphy meets abstract expressionism, bridging written language with pure emotion. My work reflects on life's rhythms and our spiritual connection to them, investigating that beautiful tension between what we remember and what we feel. Each line carries years of practice and draws inspiration from both natural wonders and ancient manuscripts.

With an MFA in Communication Design and more than 25 years in the advertising industry, I developed a deep understanding of visual storytelling and design principles that now inform my fine art practice. My educational foundation expanded internationally with a Design Management degree from the United Kingdom and Computer Animation Post-Graduate certification from Sheridan College, Canada.

This rich tapestry of cultural and professional experiences—from Lahore's historic artistic traditions to Canada's contemporary art scene—shapes my unique approach to abstract expressionist watercolor and modern calligraphy. My work bridges the meditative qualities of Eastern artistic philosophy with the innovative spirit of contemporary Western art.
